So we had a design a wep now lets have this
Since A-net isnt gonna put any new armors how bout a design a armor contest? I mean all those talented people that drew thos weps can surely draw some insane armor arts
What you guyz think should they have this contest?

not a terrible idea, but it would be a tough job to put in armor at specific NPC's and big update but if it is reasonable

It will not happen, armors would be much harder to implement and it took like 1+ for the design winners to be implemnted (correct me if im off).

An easy task and over-due. (Since the reskinning of local armours in EOTN)
I'm still disgusted with the half-assed attempt of an original concept. *shudder* Can't believe with all that technology that's the best they came up with... SILVER EAGLE FTW, but the rest of it...

I'll even do some concepts... =)

Giving us an opportunity to even suggest an idea for a new armor designs would be nice just to see what the community could come up with...even if they are not added into GW1.

I would love a new set of armor to come out. Something in between vabbian and FoW, something to show off, but not too expensive if you get my drift.

I wish, but we all know it's just not going to happen. A shame too, because I didn't find any of GW:EN's armor to be all that appealing. Some of the extra headgear's kinda neat, but that was about it. :-\

Heroes have amazing armors that many players would love to have. Also, there are many concept armors that were never placed in the game. The problem isn't that Anet's elite artists can't come up with designs; the problem is the amount of work involved in implementing the armors in-game to be dyed, pieced apart, and resolving clipping issues when combined with other armors (as many as they can). A 'design an armor' contest isn't going to solve this problem.
As much as I would love new armors myself, and a contest such as this, it would just simply not happen for GW1. Besides, look how long it took to add these weapons in the game, which are a helluva lot easier than the armors. You're looking at 3+ years to add armors at this rate.

Might work for specific cross-profession armor pieces, but most like they're not going to add entire sets in.

Adding an armour set is alot more difficult than most people give credit for. The reason npc's usually get the better designs is because they are a static shape/size and don't use dye. This eliminates problems such as clipping and other graphical bugs on armour sets.

As long as the New armors are for the new professions and they get added to old campaings, I'm in.
How come an assassin can get armors in Vabbi and a Dervish can get a Luxon one?
